About Me

Recovering my interest in taking photos, I purchased a Sony Cyber-shot back in 2006 so that I could have it by my side almost anywhere I might go. Shortly after I took some photos in San Diego and put them on my Mac, a chance view of my desktop showed the koi in such stark reality that I knew then what one of my retirement activities would be - publishing in some way a variety of my photos.
A couple of years ago, my wife and I purchased a Canon Rebel DSLR, and then, so we could each have a DSLR in hand, we purchased me a Nikon D5100 which I am still learning to use.
Since then, I discovered some processing software that allows the user as much creativity as desired - Nik Software plugins for Aperture. One of them - HDREfexPro - allows me to explore the possibilities of High Dynamic Range photography. One example is the photo of Mt Baker on this page.
Other processing software - ON1 Photo RAW 2017, Adobe’s LightRoom - are challenging my learning abilities.
Then, of all things, I purchased an Olympus TG-4 (Tough) easy-to-carry camera. The photos of ice in our yard were captured with the Tough’s Macro setting.
All online sales are handled through my store on Etsy.com and on Fine Art America - to see my work in person:
